If you'd like to avoid us completely: Take a look at the map below. We will not be along the eastern shore and we will not enter the smaller western lobe of the lake.
How can you help:
Our boats are narrow and low to the water. Wakes from motor boats can disturb/ruin a race. We do our best to hold races when we see a motor boat has crossed the course as we understand this is a shared space.
If you see a race in progress, we ask that you hold your wake until the race has passed you. Our races take 6-7 minutes to cover the 2000m portion. We will race North to South (toward our boathouse). We plan to run the races every 20' so there is hopefully ample time for everyone to enjoy the lake as they would like to.

From the water - It is best to stay in one place and watch the boats race by you. We would love to have boats cheering in the last 1000m (Right half of the picture above). If you would like to, you can anchor near the blue buys on the top of the course in the last half of the race (top of the map). Please be watchful for rowing boats cooling down behind you. Please idle your way to and from this anchoring spot to ensure safety and remain off the course.
From our boathouse - We have free parking and a spectator area. We will have speakers throughout the property and a Jumbotron streaming the racing so you can follow along with the crowd. We are located at 18011 Lake Pickett Rd. Orlando.

The points for this regatta will be scored following the NCAA format which only scores the top three boats as only those three boats will compete at the NCAA championship.
The Big 12 regatta will score all boats with slightly different point allotments. Because The Orlando Invite is hosting schools from multiple conferences, all which have different point allocations, we are sticking with the NCAA format as this is the only regatta these teams will cross paths.
